ESCO Construction Pumps

Construction pumps are used to move out various liquids used at construction sites. Pumps come in 2 types: positive displacement type, which draws in a set amount of liquid and pushes it out by applying pressure, and non-positive displacement type, which moves out liquids by the centrifugal force generated by a rotating impeller. Pumps used to draw water are divided into submersible pumps, which are used underwater, and land pumps, which are used on land. Construction pumps are also used to handle liquids other than water, such as refined petroleum products (i.e., kerosene and lubricating oil) and chemicals. There are manual pumps for transferring kerosene and diesel oil, as well as pumps powered by an engine or a motor. Pneumatic pumps, which harness compressed air, prevent inflammation and explosions caused by sparks produced by a motor, and are used in cleanroom environments such as semiconductor manufacturing plants as well. There are also coolant pumps for cooling machine tools.
