ROHM Display Drivers
A display driver is a driver IC used in liquid crystal displays, and is the hardware required to control the display. Projects characters and pictures on the display after receiving instructions from the computer. Without a display driver, it is not possible to move the screen even when instructed, so it plays an important role. There are two types: the surface mount type that mounts on the PCB surface, and through-hole mount type that inserts lead terminals into holes drilled in the circuit board and mounts them. There are more than ten display types such as LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), CRT (CRT), AMOLED (Organic EL Display), etc. In addition, there are finely divided types such as supply voltage, interface, display specifications, etc., so selection according to the purpose is necessary.
