Handheld Sanders

Sanders are electric tools fitted with a piece of sandpaper on the bottom surface for polishing wood and metals. Sandpaper of different grit sizes is used according to the application. Sanders vibrate sandpaper with a motor when polishing. They are available in various types, including the standing type and handy type. Corner sanders are characterized by their triangular pads. They are useful for polishing narrow sections and corners. Random sanders are round and rotate as they polish. Since their pads are round, they are not suited to polishing corners. There are also mini sanders that are not categorized as electric tools. They are made of plastic and lightweight, and some are small enough to fit inside a pocket.
