Mirror Holders
A mirror holder is an optical holder used to fix optical elements such as mirrors, lenses, and prisms when integrating optical experiments and optical-related devices. Mirror holders have various types of fine adjustment mechanism, rotation mechanism, and element fixing method, so it is necessary to select a mirror holder according to the purpose of use. There are two types of fine adjustment mechanism. The gimbal type does not shift the center of the mirror from the center of rotation during fine movement and coarse movement. In contrast, the kinematic type may cause a slight change in the optical path length because the center of rotation is outside the reflective surface. However, it has a simple structure, and does not develop significant errors from temperature characteristics and aging. Depending on the shape and size of the element, there are round, square and small holders, etc.
