ESCO Land Pumps
Land pumps are pumps installed on the land. They are used for draining water or sludge at construction sites as well as for drawing up a variety of liquids. They are separated into those for installation indoors and those for installation outdoors that use waterproof motors. There are 2 types of land pumps: self-suction and non-self-suction pumps. Self-suction pumps feature ability to automatically expel air and suck water if primed the first time used. They have a benefit in that work can be done without priming many times. Non-self-suction pumps feature a valve called a foot valve attached and require priming. Non-self-suction pumps are better suited than self-suction pumps for supplying water from rivers, ponds, and the like. There products made of stainless steel, cast iron, resin, and the like, and a material suited for the liquid to be transferred must be selected to avoid corrosion and premature wear.
