ROHM Touch Screen Controllers
A touch screen controller is a data converter that allows devices to read by converting operations on the screen into signals. This is a part for using a touch screen device as an input mechanism. Mainly used for manufacturing, engineering, control panels, etc. for special equipment. There are two types of touch screen controllers, and the resistive type creates an electrical resistive layer. Changes in the resistance of the resistive layer are recognized as touch events for data processing. The other capacitive type is compatible with screen panels covered with a thin film of indium tin dioxide, which detects changes in charge when current flowing through the sensor contacts the screen. The main mounting type of the touch screen controller is the surface mounting type.
