Thermistsor Elements
A thermistor element is a component whose resistance value changes with changes in temperature. Used as a sensor for temperature control, such as a temperature measurement sensor, overheat detection, etc. such as an intake air, lubricating oil temperature sensor, etc. Temperature measurements from -40 to 150°C are possible, and there are PTC and NTC types. The material is ceramic such as cobalt, manganese, etc. When the temperature exceeds a certain temperature threshold, the resistance value of PTC increases rapidly with increasing temperature. Therefore, it can be used as a current limiting element. The resistance value of NTC gradually decreases with increasing temperature. Therefore, it can be used not only for temperature measurements and temperature compensation sensors, but also for inrush current suppression. It is necessary to use a thermistor element according to the application and purpose.
