CPLD

A CPLD is a kind of PLD and an electrical circuit whose circuit structure can be rewritten by programming. Engineers can implement or modify circuit design data and can flexibly change specifications even during design. Although the degree of integration is small, the logic circuit is relatively simple, small in size, and low in power consumption, so it is used in a wide range of applications, such as in electronic equipment and optical devices. Representative features include the availability of a large number of gates and the ability to function instantly upon turning on a power supply, which is achieved by using non-volatile configuration memory. Since specifications such as the number of blocks, the number of macro cells, and the number of gates differ depending on the product, select products as necessary.
