Rubber Magnets
A rubber magnet is a magnet made from rubber and magnetic material. Ceramic or rare earth magnets may be used as magnetic materials, which are typically made from materials such ferrite or neodymium. Product types include sheet-shaped types and band-shaped types. A feature of all types is their flexibility and ease of processing. These products can be bent, cut, wrapped tightly or used in various other shapes, and many types can also be printed. As such, they are used for a variety of applications such as power distribution boards, sensors, motors and shields. Rubber magnets can also be used for precision applications, and are popular as a substitute material for electromagnets or permanent magnets. However, care must be taken regarding the operating environment, because some magnet material types may lose magnetic force at high temperatures or rust may occur when used outdoors or in humid locations.
