Thermoscopes

A thermoscope is a device that measures the temperature of an object, liquid or space. There is an analog type and a digital type. The digital type has easy to read markings, and the main unit and the measuring unit are integrated in a compact size which is easy to carry. The analog type uses liquid expansion or bimetal to indicate temperature. Glass thermometers using alcohol liquid expansion are inexpensive and easy to handle. They fit into a metal case and are used by attaching them to various devices. Bimetallic thermometers measure the temperature of an object using change of temperature in metals with different expansion rates that are bonded together. In recent years, they have higher strength than glass thermometers and are increasingly used for industrial purposes. In addition to indoor types, there are also types that can be used in a completely enclosed space or in severe outdoor conditions, so usage can be tailored to the application.
