Limit Switches & Micro Switches
A limit micro switch is a generic term for limit switch and micro switch. A micro switch is a contact switch mechanism that opens and closes with a specified force and movement based on instantaneous contact switching and minute contact intervals. It is a small switch with an external actuator that is covered by a case. The limit switch is built-in a metal or resin case to protect the micro switch from contaminants. Limit switch actuators and cases that are often used in industrial machinery and equipment are made of materials that can withstand strong impacts. There are vertical and horizontal limit switches, and the vertical type has an actuator attached to the upper surface that extends vertically, with the cable pulled out from the lower surface. The horizontal type extends in the horizontal direction, like the vertical type, has an actuator on the top, and the cable is pulled out from the side. The drive mechanism of the limit micro switch includes plunger types, flexible types, lever types, etc.
