I.D. Clamping, O.D. Clamping

Inner diameter holding clamps / external form holding clamps are devices used to clamp a workpiece from the inside and outside. Inner diameter holding clamps have jaws that open outward to clamp the workpiece from the inside. They are operated by turning a cam at the center or side with a hex wrench. External form holding clamps clamp the workpiece from the outside when the jaws descend inwardly. Block types are suited to long thin workpieces, and compact types to small workpieces. The jaws can be self-cut to the required shape, enabling secure tightening to any shape. Some products can be automated by using hydraulic or air power, increasing work efficiency. Some product types clamp powerfully due to their wedge structure, while in other types, the jaw is replaceable, enabling the combined use of an inner diameter clamp and external clamp. In addition to own-brand products, brand products made by manufacturers such as Imao Corporation and Roemheld Halder are available.
