Lubrication-Free Material (Round Bars, Pipes)
Lubrication-free materials (cylindrical rods, pipes) are materials shaped like a cylindrical rod or pipe that can be used without lubrication, which reduces the amount of lubricating oil needed for the system and the refilling frequency. These are mainly used for bearings and are made from special metal or resin. In the case of regular materials, seizure may occur due to severe operation, friction heat, high loads or contaminant entry. As such, lubricant refilling and maintenance must be performed periodically as a countermeasure for seizure. However, in the case of lubrication-free materials, their intrinsic seizure and abrasion resistance enable maintenance-free operation even under severe conditions such as high loads. Lubrication-free operation cuts costs for items such as lubrication devices, lubricating oil, recycling of lubricating oil and maintenance. Seizure problems are also prevented, resulting in higher machine performance and longer lifespan.
