TRUSCO Construction Ink Markers / Chalk Lines / Leveling Strings (Wire diameter: 0.7(#17))
Architectural markers, ink pots, and mason’s lines are surveying instruments used to draw straight lines that are standard at construction sites. The ink pot is used to soak thread and draw a straight line horizontally or vertically with one point of the thread as a fixed point. A pencil and a ruler will not be possible to draw a straight line if the surface has any irregularities, but you can draw an accurate straight line with an ink pot and calco. Ink pots need to be checked before purchase, as they have both automatic and manual winding. The mason’s line is used to determine the dimensions by making a rectangle of the same size by stretching it left, right, up and down. As for the material of the mason’s line, polyester is more accurate than nylon because it does not absorb water and swell up. In addition, there are chalk reels and paint markers for places where ink cannot be applied, and rainy day black ink where the lines do not get smudged even on rainy days.
