TE Connectivity Temperature/Heat/Moisture

Temperature, heat and humidity sensor devices are for detecting the temperature, heat or humidity. These correspond to devices such as RTD (resistance temperature detectors), thermistor elements, circuit board thermostats and humidity sensors. An RTD is a sensor for measuring the temperature based on the correlation between temperature and the resistance of the temperature-sensing resistance element. Highly accurate platinum is most frequently used as the resistance material. A thermistor element is a sensor for measuring the temperature from changes in electrical resistance relative to temperature changes. The temperature can be measured in a range of approximately -50°C to 150°C, and the elements can be broadly divided into NTC, PTC and CTR types according to their characteristics. A circuit board thermostat is a device for measuring the temperature and then adjusting the temperature by cooling or heating. An RTD or thermistor is used as the sensor for measuring the temperature. A humidity sensor is for measuring the humidity from the resistance resulting from changes in moisture absorption or desorption of the humidity-sensing material inside the sensor. These sensors can be broadly divided into resistance types and capacity types according to the detection method.
