STS Theodolites
Theodolite (transit) is a device that collimates the target object to the lens and rotates it in horizontal and vertical directions to measure the reference horizontal and vertical angles. It is mainly used in construction and civil engineering fields, for touridashi and right angle measurement, leveling, slope setting, setting tilt in the vertical direction, and topographic surveying. There are three types of theodolite. The optical theodolite is equipped with a special digital micrometer mechanism, which makes it possible to read measured values by looking into the lens. Digital theodolite measures the angle electronically, cross-points the target looking through the lens and digitally displays the vertical and horizontal angles. Laser theodolites incorporate a semiconductor laser diode and create a reference line in the direction of the illuminated visible light laser. They are mainly used for tunnel positioning.
