SMC High Speed Exhaust Valves, Shuttle Valves
A quick exhaust valve or shuttle valve is a valve that has been installed between the pump main body and the solenoid valve and has a role of assisting air or hydraulic control, which was previously performed only with the solenoid valve. The quick exhaust valve that performs air control consists of 3 ports: IN, OUT and EX. The air fed from the solenoid valve passes from the IN to the OUT of the quick exhaust valve and enters the cylinder inside the pump. The exhaust air from the cylinder passes from the OUT to the EX of the quick exhaust valve and is discharged directly without passing through the solenoid valve. This reduces the exhaust resistance of the pump and is useful for extending the pump life and saving energy. A shuttle valve consists of 2 × IN ports and 1 × OUT port and is used for hydraulic control. Product types include single-action mounting types, and those equipped with silencers. Some types can be used as both a quick exhaust valve and a shuttle valve.
