Dedicated tools are used in specific locations or applications. Various types of dedicated tools are available for use in the desired application, including crimp tools used to connect the cable core wire to the terminal, tools used to insert and extract terminals without damage, and wire pullers and clampers used to install wires. Crimp tools are available in manual or electrical types and are used to crimp wires using crimp terminals or sleeves. Some products can adjust wire size and crimp height, and some come with a ratchet mechanism to prevent mis-crimping. The ratchet mechanism restricts rotation to a single direction and does not turn in the reverse until crimping is finished, allowing for a stable crimping performance. This mechanism allows easy switching between tightening and loosening, which reduces work time.
