IDEC Alarms/Buzzers
An alarm or buzzer is a device used to emit a warning sound when a malfunction, abnormal operation, etc. is observed in equipment or facilities. In addition to abnormal operation of the equipment itself, it is also used for the purpose of detecting abnormalities in sequence-controlled programs, earth leakage of circuits and equipment, disconnection of heaters, etc. There are products that detect abnormalities by themselves and emit sound, however, products that use a receiver in combination with a zero-phase current transformer, acoustic device, etc., and that are used in distribution boards, power distribution boards, control panels, etc. also exist. The installed functions vary depending on the product, such as those that can switch the setting between intermittent sound and continuous sound, those that emit light with sound, those that automatically shut off the main breaker when a strong vibration is detected, etc.
