Tongue-and-groove pliers are a tool for gripping and turning cylindrical objects. Their shape consists of two handles connected by fasteners which overlap and intersect. They are used for piping work, machine assembly and bottle nut tightening, etc. The width of the mouth of the tip that grasps the target can be adjusted using a slider, but it should be noted that the maximum width varies by model. In addition, in many cases the tip has jagged grooves, but some have resin pads to prevent scratching the gripped object. Some have a handle that functions as a straight-slot screwdriver, some have an opening diameter that can be adjusted to eight levels according to the object being gripped, and some have a built-in spring that automatically opens the handle.
