FUJI ELECTRIC Rotary Code Switches
The rotary code switch is a component that switches electrical circuits by operating levers and buttons. The main unit has a structure with an operation axis and many terminals. The number of circuits that can be connected and the number of contacts are fixed, and the number of circuits that can be connected is 1 to 6. The number of contacts indicates the number of selected terminals in one circuit. The number of selectable terminals is the number of circuits x (number of contacts +1). By turning the operation axis, the connection terminal changes, but since the order of the terminals is fixed, switching is performed in the set order. There are two types: shorting type that where the circuit does not break and the non-shorting type that has a moment when the circuit breaks. To prevent malfunctions and damage to equipment, the appropriate type must be selected.
