ESCO Check Writers
Check writers are devices used to print checks, promissory notes or similar instruments. They can print numbers and special symbols, and use special fonts different from the fonts normally used. They can also be used to prevent forgeries by embossing the print surface to produce raised and indented areas. There are mechanical and electronic types. Mechanical types print 1 character at a time manually. Electronic types print all the characters entered in the liquid crystal screen. There are also models with calculator functions and models enabling PC connection for entering data. The number of printable digits, type of currency units, size of print area on the paper, and printing speed all varies widely. Word writers are devices with an integrated display and keyboard. They are fitted with a ballpoint or marker pen that they move to write the entered characters. They can write multiple lines at once, and enable detailed settings for each line. The various settings and features available include character size, horizontal/vertical writing, drawing area, font, boldface, character width, character spacing, ornamental borders and right/left justification. The shortcut memory functions provide several different built-in formats to suit a variety of applications. Once registered, they can be recalled to enable reuse whenever needed.
