YAMATAKE AZBIL Ultrasonic Sensors
An ultrasonic sensor is a sensor that measures the presence or absence and distance of an object using ultrasonic waves. Transmission products detect the presence or absence of an object by detecting the interruption when a substance passes through transmitted ultrasonic waves. The reflective type detects the presence or absence of an object and measures the distance to the object based on the time it takes from transmission to reception of ultrasonic waves. Ultrasonic sensors are characterized by being unaffected by color and material, and can be used with any material, including transparent glass, water, etc. as well as metals and non-metals. It can be used for a wide range of objects, and also supports objects with complex shapes such as meshes, etc. Detection is possible without touching the object, thereby causing no damage to the object.
