ROHM Switching Controller
A switching controller is a DC-DC converter. Generally refers to those without a power switch (power MOSFET) inside, but also includes those with some power switches. A DC-DC converter is a circuit that converts direct current input to an electronic device into a power supply voltage corresponding to internal electronic components and semiconductors. By using a switching controller, it is possible to stabilize the input voltage, prevent deterioration of characteristics and malfunctions of electronic devices, and contribute to weight and size reduction. There are step-down DC-DC controllers that convert input voltage to low and outputs it, step-up DC-DC controllers that convert input voltage to high and outputs it, and step-up/down DC-DC controllers doing the action of step-up/down DC-DC controllers that operate under conditions of input and output voltage, which can be selected according to the application.
