ROHM I/O Expanders

An I/O expander is a semiconductor that has a function to expand the data bus of a CPU and is hardware that connects multiple devices to one port. It is used when expansion is necessary, when there are not enough input/output ports, or when using an interrupt. It enables changing a device address with an external input and installing a specified number of the same ICs. Some I/O expanders have a built-in input address full decode circuit, and some have an interface. Also, the number of I/O channels, clock frequency, maximum supply voltage, minimum supply voltage, etc. vary depending on the device, you need to check them. In addition, output types include push-pull output and open drain output.
