ROHM Interfaces
An interface is a part for exchanging signals between the first stage circuit and last stage circuit, through operations such as changing the electrical signal route or converting the signal format. Interfaces include parts with switching, communication or conversion functions. An analog switch is an IC that controls the ON/OFF of analog signals with a digital signal. A communication interface is an IC with functions such as a buffer, serial/parallel conversion and protocol conversion. IC packages include types such as through-hole mount types, surface mount types and QFN types. An isolation interface is a part for converting the signal of the first stage circuit into a format that can be used by the last stage circuit. In addition to IC package types, converters are available such as media converters, voltage transducers and signal conditioners.
