FESTO Flow Control (not throttle)
Throttle valves and stop valves are valves used to control the flow rate of gas or liquids such as water or oil that flow inside pipes. Both the structure and applications of throttle valves and stop valves are similar, but one difference is whether the range of flow rate control is broad or narrow. Generally, both types prevent liquid or gas loss and are used for the maintenance of pipes and other parts. Some types enable fine adjustment of flow rate control. It is important to select according to the application. The types and shapes of throttle valves and stop valves vary according to the application; for example, a cartridge type and needle valve type are available. Refer to the circuit design when selecting a valve and select one according to the application and by taking safety into account. Be very careful when mounting a throttle valve or stop valve to prevent any accidents from occurring.
