FESTO Sequence Valves
A sequence valve is a type of hydraulic valve that controls circuit pressure. Used to activate multiple actuators in sequence according to the preset value. The characteristics differ depending on the product, such as the those that can handle a wide range of pressures and the those that are direct-acting types and have a small pressure override. Depending on the combination with the pilot and drain inside and outside the circuit, some can also serve as a counterbalance valve, relief valve, etc., and are widely used in food and semiconductor manufacturing facilities. The specification of each product is often represented by a character string called a shape symbol, and the compatible fluid, connection method, nominal diameter, pressure regulating range, etc. are indicated by alphanumeric characters. In addition to the information described in the shape symbol, it is necessary to check the dimensions of the gasket mounting surface, the maximum operating pressure, the maximum flow rate, etc. in advance, and select a sequence valve suitable for the application.
