Film Thickness Gauges / Detectors (Measuring Range: 0–1200)

Coating thickness gauges and detectors are measuring devices that check the thickness of coating films, metals, etc. Using an inappropriate amount of paint can cause cracking and deterioration, exposing the substrate and causing rust. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the thickness of the painted surface using a coating thickness gauge. Depending on the measurement method, there are two types of film thickness inspections: electromagnetic induction types and overcurrent types. The electromagnetic induction method is a method of measuring the strength of the pulling force of a magnet, and is made of a magnetic material on which a magnet is attached and is used for non-magnetic coatings. The overcurrent method is a method of measuring the magnitude of the current generated in a substrate by passing a current, and the substrate is made of non-magnetic metal and used for insulating films. Detectors, etc. include pin hole detectors that check through holes in insulators, metal detectors that check concrete and piping, and check for contaminants, etc.
