Resonators (Ceramic, SAW)

Resonators (ceramic, SAW) are oscillators that oscillate at the specific frequency of a component. They is used in a wide range of industries such as communication equipment and automotive applications. Ceramic resonators are made of piezoelectric ceramics and are characterized by their small size and lightweight. In addition, because they employ mechanical resonance, they have stable frequency regardless of fluctuations in the power supply voltage. When voltage is applied, they deform due to the piezoelectric effect and resonance occurs at a specific frequency. The frequency varies with the thickness and length of the ceramic material. SAW resonators use surface acoustic waves and are suitable for use at frequencies of several hundred MHz or higher. Types are divided into surface mount and through-hole. Two-terminal and three-terminal types, etc. are available for the through-hole type. Since the frequency and frequency tolerance vary depending on the product, select one according to the application.
