Counter IC

A counter IC is an electrical component that can count input clock pulses. Output in binary, decimal, etc., and those that output in binary are called binary counters. The mounting type can be surface mounting or through-hole. The number of elements can be selected from 1 or 2, and the number of bits per element can be counted from 2 to 24 bits when the number is large. Depending on the product, the counter order has an up function that adds a numerical value and a counter function that subtracts a value. Trigger types are classified into a positive edge trigger that is output when the clock pulse rises and a negative edge trigger that is output when the clock pulse falls.
