Common Mode Choke Coils

A common mode choke coil is a filter used mainly for common mode noise prevention. The common mode choke coil has a four-terminal structure in which two conductors are wound around the core in the same direction. By strengthening the magnetic flux of each conductor, it works as an inductor only for common mode noise and removes noise. Types are available for data and signal lines and for AC power supplies. Mounting types include surface mount, through-hole mount, chassis mount, etc. High voltage is applied to the common mode choke coil for AC power supplies, so care must be taken in the rated voltage when selecting. There is also a way to improve the time difference between differential signals by using a common mode choke coil in a differential transmission circuit.
