EMI/RFI Filters
An EMI/RFI filter is a component that is attached to a circuit of an electronic device to prevent electromagnetic noise interference. It is used for purposes such as contact protection, interference suppression, and transient suppression. It may also be used to reduce intra-system EMI of electronic devices. An EMI/RFI filter is often used in combination with a metal shield that prevents spatial conduction in order to prevent electromagnetic noise interference caused by conduction through a conductor. The circuit configuration is LC or RC, the unit of rated current is mA or A, and the mounting method can be selected from through-hole method and surface mount method. The cutoff frequency, attenuation value, circuit constant, channel resistance, etc. differ depending on the product, so it is necessary to select it according to the equipment used and application. Products with a wide operating temperature range can be used in various locations.
