Transformers for Board Mounting
The circuit-board mount transformer is a small power supply transformer that is used when mounting the circuit board. It is used for a wide range of electronic devices, but some are specialized for medical devices and electronic monitors. Transformers for circuit-board mounts are available in surface mount, through-hole mount, and chassis mount types. Of these, the surface mount type is a method of mounting components with a chip mounter, and the through-hole mount type is a method of fixing a PCB in a hole and mounting. Transformers include pulse transformers, current sense transformers, power transformers, and insulation transformers. Transformer types include ADSL, toroidal, and non-invasive (solid core).
