Terminals for Circuit Boards
Circuit board terminals are parts used for electrical wiring and termination on the board. There are types such as connectors, terminal blocks, contacts, etc. They come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, materials, etc. and can be used in all electrical and electronic equipment. There are low and high voltage terminals, so care must be taken in the rated voltage when selecting a terminal. Terminal mounting methods include through-hole mounting, surface mounting, and free hanging type. To crimp the terminal onto the wiring cord, attach the narrower two claws to the coated cord and the wider one to the cable. Insufficient crimping tends to cause dropouts and poor contact, so the use of dedicated tools is recommended. The terminal block can also be used as a test point in addition to wiring branches.
