Magnetic DC Contactors SD-Q Series

Caution
- This product belongs in RoHS Directive under Category 9 "Monitoring and control equipment" with exclusion from the usage restriction of phthalate esters until 21 July 2021.
Product Description
Small, high performance DC operation type contactor, which can be directly driven with transistor output (24 V DC 0.1 A).
[Features]
· Small, high performance DC operation type contactor, which can be directly driven with transistor output (24 V DC 0.1 A).
· This enables space saving because an interface relay is not required.
· Wiring is streamlined because wiring to a relay is not required, eliminating any mixture with AC control.
[Applications]
· Optimal for circuit interruption, heater switch, etc.
SD-Q Series High Sensitivity Contactor Features
International
- Meets many international standards. Japanese standards and many international standards are met and certified as a standard product (JIS/JEM/IEC/DIN/VDE/BS/EN/UL/CSA/CE marking/TÜV/GB).
- Meets new JIS standard (JIS C 8201-4-1).
- Standard mark is displayed on product main body nameplate.
Energy Conservation / Environmental
- Greatly reduced power consumption by adopting high-efficiency polarized electromagnet.
- Major molded parts display the material used, to simplify recycling.
- Uses a method that transmits expanded electromagnet movement, suppressing the core movement to minimum, which enables stable use with minimum switching noise.
Easy To Use
- Even easier to use with a full range of models, including auxiliary contact units for post-fitting.
- Surge absorbing function is built in as standard. Suppresses adverse effect of surge voltage when the coil turns off, such as peripheral electronic equipment failure.
- The SD-Q type has large open thermal current (rated energization current), attaining high capacity and long life. Only suited for circuit energization role. Despite the small size, this can be applied to a 440 V AC circuit.
- Molded parts use flame retardant material, UL standard certified (UL94: plastic material flame retardant test).

Prepared easily removable terminal cover, separated for the main body and the unit, as standard equipment. Finger protection function prevents electric shock and improves safety during maintenance and inspection. The screw tightening holes provided in the terminal cover serve as screwdriver guides, decreasing screw tightening failures.

Using twin auxiliary contacts enables accommodating up to a low level of 5 V DC 3 mA (failure rate is 5 × 10-7/time in a normal environment where no dust or corrosive gas exists.).

Safety opening function (auxiliary b contact off when welding main contact). Meets requirements of EN regulations EN60204-1 “electrical equipment in industrial machines,” “control functions during fault.” Can use as interlock circuit contact.

Rail mounting is standard. Can mount as standard product onto 35 mm rail compliant to IEC and DIN regulations.

Thermal relay can be mounted without adapter. Can install directly to contactor, and therefore can easily change to electromagnetic switch, simply by additional purchase of a thermal relay.

Displays IEC compatible terminal number on front of product main body. To easily distinguish a and b contacts, the identification codes (NO, NC) are displayed on the front of the product main body.
Small Size

Contributes to small control panel. Can use for 440 V AC circuit, despite the small size.
