SURUGA SEIKI Prisms

Prism used to bend light at 90 degrees.
[Features]
· Provides same efficiency as a mirror, but using a prism for reflection function generally makes the system more compact.
· As the mirror surface is protected by a coating, there is less deterioration of image performance due to dust, scratches, etc.
· Caution is needed when using it for white light, as chromatic aberration may occur due to the dispersion of the material (wavelength depends on the refractive index).
· A right angled prism is used for bending light at 90 or 180 degrees.
· The prisms are divided into B or C types depending on the difference in the coating applied to each surface.

· BK7 can be used as an infrared region from the visual range.
· Synthetic quartz can be used as an infrared region from the ultra-violet range.
