Tape Measures (Page 2)
Tape measures are used for measuring length, thickness and depth. They are mainly used for architectural and construction work. The tape section of the measuring scale is made of thin metal such as steel and stainless steel, and it can maintain its form and does not bend easily even when extended. The hook at the end of the tape that serves as the zero-origin is hooked onto an object when taking measurements. Even when there is nothing to hook it onto, you can use the stopper to hold the extended tape, so you can measure the dimensions of various things easily and accurately when working alone as well. The scale is provided in the metric unit and also the shaku unit, which is often used at construction sites. Tape lengths range from 1 m to 10 m, and widths from 6 mm to 27 mm. Tape measures are available in various coating options for the tape section, such as a special resin coating that is resistant to abrasion, as well as functional options like the provision of a locking mechanism.
