Product Description

MELSEC-Q series serial communication unit.
[Features]
· Capable of high-speed large-volume communication of up to 960 words (in MC protocol communication) at the maximum speed of 230.4 kbps.
· Capable of non-procedural protocol communications by transmitting/receiving data based on the communication protocol specified by the external device.
[Applications]
· For reading/writing of the data on the sequencer from the external device.

Serial Communication Unit Features

High-speed, large-capacity communication of up to 960 words (in the case of MC protocol communication) at speeds up to 230.4 kbps is possible.
Data can be read and written from/to the sequencer from external devices (PC, display, etc.) using the MC protocol.
Non-procedural protocol communication is supported to permit data exchange between the sequencer and a given external device (barcode reader, measuring instrument, etc.) in any communication protocol specified by the external device.
Sequencers can be programmed and monitored from a programming tool based on RS-232 serial communication using the QJ71C24N(-R2).
The QJ71C24N(-R2) has a function supporting public network modems and is capable of initializing an applicable modem and connecting with the other device to communicate with any remote device or programming tool via the modem and a public network.
The QJ71C24N(-R2) has a remote password function that prevents illegal access to the Q-series sequencers using the QJ71C24N(-R2)'s modem function.
