● The cylindrically coiled spring is used in the direction in which the central coil twists.
● If used in the direction in which the arm angle closes, the spring's support rod diameter should ideally be approximately 90% of the inner diameter of the coil at maximum load (as the coil diameter will reduce).
● The spring requires a returning force generated by pinching it with a clip or some other tool.
