MISUMI Partners with Kasetsart University to establish "MISUMI Learning Center"
Elevating Engineering Classrooms into a Real-World Industrial Training Hub
Misumi (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a leading Japanese provider of machine components and industrial products through its E-commerce platform, has announced a major collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University. The partnership was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support the establishment of the "MISUMI Learning Center" at the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University, on 28 November.
The MOU was signed by Mr. Keigo Ishizuka, Marketing Director of Misumi (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and Professor Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Kasetsart University. The collaboration aims to create an integrated learning environment that supports the development of advanced technology and hands-on engineering skills for students, who represent a vital future workforce for Thailand's manufacturing sector.
Following the signing of the agreement, both parties will commence renovating existing classrooms and progressively develop educational infrastructure, thereby positioning the MISUMI Learning Center as a practical bridge between industry and academia.
Mr. Keigo Ishizuka stated that Thailand is accelerating its transition toward digitalization and automation under the Thailand 4.0 strategy, amid increasing expectations for manufacturing quality and a projected shortage of skilled professionals expected around 2029. As a result, developing engineers who can lead transformation initiatives and continuously improve advanced systems has become a top priority.

As both a manufacturer and distributor of Industrial Automation (IA) products, MISUMI recognizes its responsibility to serve as a connector between industry and educational institutions. This Project is positioned as a
"Collaborative Initiative to Shape the Next Generation of Engineering Education," with the following key objectives:
"This project will deliver a learning experience that goes beyond textbooks and enable students to truly connect theory with real industrial practice," Mr. Keigo said.

Professor Dr. Wanchai Yodsudjai, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Kasetsart University, added that the faculty is committed to creating a learning environment aligned with global industrial standards. Providing students with direct exposure to real technologies from industry experts is a critical factor in developing high-quality engineers for the future. He expressed strong confidence that the collaboration with MISUMI will collectively elevate the skills of the engineering students and prepare them to meet international standards
