Flush locks & latches are parts that are mounted on doors and exterior components. Mainly, they are used for doors of special-purpose vehicles, construction equipment, railroad vehicles and buses, power distribution boards and measuring instruments, etc., and in general, employ the single-action method for easy opening and closing. There are various methods of opening and closing, such as using a protruding handle, pulling a grip and a latch. They are often under repeated operations, requiring to be resistant to vibration and impact and relatively lightweight. In particular, special-purpose vehicles, construction equipment and railroad vehicles need to be dust- and splash-proof, hence they are required to have structures supporting such specifications. In addition, it is necessary to select materials depending on the application, but stainless steel and resin with excellent corrosion resistance are generally used.
