An angle plate (or right angle plate) is an L-shaped metal plate with a precise 90° angle, used for:

• Supporting workpieces perpendicular to the workbench: Place the workpiece against one side of the angle plate, with the other side secured to the bench, achieving a definite 90-degree angle.

• Consider the size of the workpiece and the work area: Choose a plate size that is large enough to support the workpiece but not too cumbersome on the bench. Popular sizes include: 100 x 75 mm, 150 x 100 mm, 200 x 150 mm. If the workpiece is tall → it is recommended to choose a plate with a sufficiently high vertical side.
• Choose the right material for the job:
  Cast Iron: Heavy, strong, good price, suitable for general turning, milling, and drilling.
  Steel: Very strong, resistant to torsion, suitable for heavy-duty applications.
  Aluminum: Lightweight, rust-free, suitable for general work, work that requires frequent lifting/moving.
  Stainless Steel: Rust-free, chemical-resistant, suitable for food, pharmaceutical, or wet areas.
• Consider the accuracy of the angle: If using with high-precision machinery, choose a Precision Ground type. Check the angle deviation value, e.g., ±0.005 mm per 100 mm.
• Look at the number of mounting holes and clamping methods: It is recommended to choose a plate with holes for attaching Clamps or Bolts. If using with a table with T-slots → check if the holes align with the bolt size.
