High-performance grade suited for industrial applications such as in the electronics and food production industries. Quoted from Takiron plate general catalog 2013.
[Features]
· Does not generate any halogen-based toxic gases when burnt, and has a low calorific value, even among plastics.
· Possesses approximately 5 times the initial strength of general acrylic based on the Charpy impact test.
· The thickness can be reduced from the conventional thickness to suit the given application.
· Petech is self-extinguishing, as opposed to acrylics which are highly flammable.
· Certified for superior flame retardance. Passed the materials combustion test for railroad cars.
· Does not turn white even when cold bent. Punching of thin objects as thin as 1.5 mm is possible, whereas such punching is not possible with acrylics.
· Can be formed at lower temperatures than with acrylics, and as it requires little time to heat up, it can help keep costs down.
· Excels in transparency, showing high-level total light transmittance and a haze equal to acrylic (0.3%: actual measured value). It uses high grade transparent materials with a glossed surface finish.
· Good transparency, even with thick materials.
· Supports good-quality printing when using paints and general inks such as those for PET and polyester.
· Food hygiene properties.
· Minimal degradation due to gamma rays and ethylene oxide gas, allowing it to be used in applications involving sterilization.
· Has well-balanced gas barrier properties.
