ROHM AC/DC Power Supply Modules
An AC/DC power supply module rectifies alternating current voltage and converts it into stable direct current voltage. This can then be used as the power supply for parts or devices powered by direct current voltage. AC/DC power supply module types include transformer types with a simple circuit that saves power and switching types with a complex circuit design that minimizes heat generation and is highly efficient. Various module shapes are available, including a chassis mount that can be mounted on a chassis, a through-hole mount that can be directly mounted onto a circuit board, and a rack type that can be assembled onto a rack. A rectifier bridge diode is also available that packages diodes in a bridge connection as a power supply circuit part. This part extracts pulsating flow from the alternating current voltage and a smoothing capacitor is assembled in the output stage to obtain direct current voltage.
