Hand Tool Sets

Tool sets (insulated) are a type of tool set made of insulating material for workers who have to perform electrical work in a potentially live environment. It is used for the maintenance of hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles. If the tool set (insulated) is certified by an international organization called IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission), it will be displayed as IEC60900 in the applicable standards column. Certifications include dielectric tests, penetration tests, and insulated coating adhesion tests. Insulated tools should not be mixed with other general tools, and should be prepared as a set of insulated tools alone in order to prevent electric shock. There are also some elaborate designs such as bright red and yellow two-tone handles so that they can be distinguished from non-insulated tools. Typically, the main body is made of glass fiber or has an insulated coating. The coating type with a safety sign is recommended, for it is easy to check the wear state of the surface.
