Electrode Blank
Electrode blanks are electrodes for manufacturing molds using alloy carbides by means of die sinker EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining). Primary materials include copper tungsten, tough-pitch copper, oxygen-free copper and chrome copper. Copper materials are popular for their affordability; other materials that are available include silver, graphite, and more. In die sinker EDM, electrodes are pushed against the workpiece like a rubber stamp; for this reason, electrode shapes are selected according to the shape of workpiece. Shapes of electrodes include plate, round rod and square rod. It is also recommended to select the electrode product in the appropriate size according to the size of the workpiece.
