Environmentally friendly cables do not contain heavy metals, such as lead, and halogen elements that are found in conventional cables; for this reason, the cables emit no harmful gases when incinerated and do not contaminate the soil when buried in a landfill. The coating material used is exclusively polyethylene-based and features better heat resistance and chemical resistance properties, as well as excellent recyclability compared to conventional PVC cables. Polyethylene-based materials are more elastic than vinyl-based materials and slightly more rigid; for this reason, the cables should be handled with care when removing the coating or flexing.
