Photo Sensors

A photosensor is a sensor that detects light by converting it into current. It consists of a light-emitting part and a light-receiving part, and reads the change in the signal generated when a detection target blocks the light. Photosensors detect a wide range of wavelengths, from infrared light to visible light and ultraviolet light, and using visible light makes it easy to adjust the position of the object to be detected visually. In addition, since it is not in contact with the detection target, it can detect over long distances compared to ultrasonic waves or magnetism. Photosensors are classified according to their optical path characteristics. The reflection type is also called a photoreflector.
