MITSUBISHI MATERIALS tip (for milling) cutter insert JOMU.
Cutting edge design that realizes reliable work
Wiper Edge: The wiper edge provides a good finished surface in rough machining areas.
Straight cutting edge: A straight line is secured up to the maximum depth of cut (APMX), maintains stable high feed milling even during interrupted cutting.
Minor cutting edge: Since the cutting edge is straight, cutting chips are generated stably even during steep ramping.
Strong insert
Increased thickness prevents the insert from being damaged and the main body from being damaged.
Good cutting chip control due to the unique cutting edge ridgeline
The unique cutting edge ridge line generates compact curled chips and suppresses cutting chip clogging of the tool main body and chip conveyor.
Coated carbide grade for cutting process by rolling
MV1020
Al-Rich coating / advanced abrasion resistance and thermal shock resistance
The Al-Rich coating that does not change the crystal structure even if the Al content ratio is increased has been developed by a new coating process using the unique technology, achieving a high Al content ratio and high film hardness.
By significantly improving the oxidation resistance in addition to the film hardness, extremely excellent abrasion resistance has been achieved.
In addition, due to its extremely excellent heat resistance, excellent machining stability has been achieved not only in dry cutting but also in wet cutting where thermal cracks were likely to occur in the past.

MP6100 / MP7100 / MP9100 series
TOUGH-Σ Technology (Tough-Sigma Technology)
Achieves toughness (TOUGH) by integrating excellent coating technology (Σ).
Base layer high Al- (Al, Ti) N: The increased Al content has made film hardness improved, and high hardness phase stabilized, improving abrasion resistance, crack resistance, and chip-weld-resistance during cutting.
The laminated structure prevents crack progress and improves wear resistance.
CVD Coated Carbide Grade for Steel / Stainless Steel Cutting Process by Rolling
MC7020
It suppresses crater abrasion that occurs in the high-speed region and achieves stable machining even in high-efficiency machining.

How to set the tool center trajectory
ødc (tool center trajectory) = øDH (desired hole diameter) - DCX (Maximum cutting diameter)
DCX = maximum cutting diameter, APMX = maximum depth of cut, DC = cutting diameter, RMPX = maximum ramping angle, DH = desired hole diameter, AZ = maximum drilling depth
Cutting speed (Dry cutting)
*1) Air blow is recommended for reliable cutting chip discharge. If the cutting chip discharge capability by air blow is low, perform wet cutting.
*2) Wet cutting may shorten the lifespan more than dry cutting. For cutting speed, multiply the values of the above table by 0.75.
*3) If large chatter vibration occurs, reduce the depth of cut, feed rate per tooth, and cutting speed in order.
*4) For interrupted cutting, multiply the cutting speed in the cutting speed table by 0.8 and the feed rate per tooth by approx. 0.8.
Depth of cut and feed rate
*1) Air blow is recommended for reliable cutting chip discharge. If the cutting chip discharge capability by air blow is low, perform wet cutting.
*2) If large chatter vibration occurs, reduce the depth of cut, feed rate per tooth, and cutting speed in order.
*3) When cutting intermittently, multiply the cutting speed in the cutting speed table by 0.8 and the feed rate per tooth in the above table by approx. 0.8.
*4) To set ap greater than 2 mm, avoid machining near a wall or ramping.
Selecting proper chip breakers
*1) Air blow is recommended for reliable cutting chip discharge. If the cutting chip discharge capability by air blow is low, perform wet cutting.
*2) Wet cutting may shorten the lifespan more than dry cutting. For cutting speed, multiply the values of the above table by 0.75.
*3) If large chatter vibration occurs, reduce the depth of cut, feed rate per tooth, and cutting speed in order.
*4) When cutting intermittently, multiply the cutting speed in the cutting speed table by 0.8 and the feed rate per tooth in the above table by approx. 0.8.
*5) To set ap greater than 2 mm, avoid machining near a wall or ramping.
Machining limit by form
*1) During ramping and helical milling, reduce the feed rate per tooth.
*2) Please be careful about safety because continuous long cutting chips may scatter during ramping and helical milling, especially drilling.
"Helical milling"In order to obtain a flat bottom in helical milling, it is necessary to remove the "core" created on the work material in the final machining path.
In helical milling, please be careful so that the depth of cut per pass does not exceed the maximum depth of cut, APMX.
"Drilling"When drilling, set the feed per revolution in the axial direction to 0.2 mm/rev or less.
